“It’s Good to Talk”
“The Hampstead Synagogue Welfare Committee is actively involved in sustaining many of our members who are incapacitated, lonely, or may not not like to ask for help.
Sometimes all that is needed is a telephone call. A few words to let them know they are not forgotten. Others prefer a visit and a chat over a cup of tea with a committee member, while some like help with their shopping. We always do our best to comply with their requests. At Purim we hold a tea party, which is greatly enjoyed by all who attend. Good wishes are sent for the Yomtovim. We have a small committee, but they do great work.”
