Modern Orthodox Thoughts

A series of three major, thought-provoking talks by Rabbi Dr. Michael Harris on modern Orthodoxy from a philosophical perspective

An embattled ideology
Modern Orthodoxy - the attempt to combine full commitment to Orthodox Judaism with openness to the modern world - is an embattled ideology. Its positive attitudes towards Zionism, secular studies, and aspects of feminism, among other features, often draw fire from other Orthodox circles, while its traditionalism attracts criticism from non-Orthodox thinkers.
