Join us for a Siyum on tractate Megillah – to complete our year of learning with Scholar in Residence Dina Brawer
A Siyum is the traditional ceremony marking the completion of an entire tractate of Talmud. The key refrain in a siyum is “hadran alach,” which means “we will return to you” (ie to that particular tractate) symbolizing the continuity of study and our reluctance to part with a section of Torah that we have come to know and love. The Siyum culminates in a Seudat Mitzvah, a meal that celebrates the fulfillment of a mitzvah.
