Hampstead Synagogue has several events planned to support Mitzvah Day on Sunday 27th November and we need your help.
We’re collecting again for the Trussell Trust Brent Food Bank and this year, as well as accepting food, household goods and toiletry donations in Shul, we’re also doing a collection outside Tesco Express on West End Lane, encouraging local shoppers to buy an extra item and donate it to the Food Bank.
In addition, we’re also running a special Mitzvah Day event for our younger members with Goods for Good putting together stationery and clothing into packs to be sent to refugee camps around the world. The Packs make a simple but important difference to their everyday life.
What, where and when?
0930 – 1030 Join the group putting Packs together for Goods for Good at The Hampstead Synagogue, Dennington Park Road
1030 – 1300 Bring your food, toiletries and household goods to The Hampstead Synagogue for donation to the Brent Food Bank
1100 – 1300 Be one of the team encouraging Tesco Express Shoppers in West End Lane to make a food donation to the Brent Food Bank
1930 – 2230 Coming to the Supper Quiz?
