Lindsay Simmonds – Scholar In Residence 2016-17


We are absolutely delighted that 
Lindsay Simmonds will be our female Scholar in Residence for the new Jewish year 5777, 2016-17. Lindsay is an experienced and popular community adult educator.

She is currently a Lecturer at the London School of Jewish Studies (LSJS) and a PhD student at the Gender Institute at the LSE, from which she already holds an M.Phil. Lindsay has also done graduate teaching at both LSE and King’s College, London. She spent five years years studying Jewish texts and thought at Midreshet Lindenbaum and Nishmat, the Centre of Advanced Learning for Women in Jerusalem, and is a graduate of the LSJS Bradfield Women’s Educators’ Programme. She has made several appearances on BBC Radio and is active in interfaith projects. Lindsay is married with five children and lives in Edgware. She will be joining us for several Shabbatot and other exciting events during the coming year and we look forward very much to learning from her!
