On Purim …

Purim is the time for major celebrations! On erev Purim over recent years we have had a pre-Megillah toddlers’ party and fancy-dress parade, followed by the communal reading of the Megillah, a Purim play and fancy dress competitions for all age groups.

We organise a big party for hundreds of members, families and guests which have featured world-class Klezmer musicians, dancing, entertainment and special provision for children including games and a ‘family zone’.

On Purim day Rabbi Michael does ‘early-bird’ and late morning Megillah readings, and there is a tea party for older members. Rabbi Michael also likes to do a pre-Purim educational event, and of course, there are Hamentaschen at Kiddush.
